I have engaged Scott on two separate occasions for pre-purchase surveys, initially for a Jeanneau 42 and subsequently for the yacht I now own, a Beneteau first 47.7. On both occasions he has been courteous to all parties involved, professional and meticulous in his observation and uses up to date techniques and equipment including thermal imaging, moisture meters etc. I have previously been involved with boatbuilding companies including seafarer, Haines hunter, Riviera, Lightwave yachts and have experience with a huge variety of techniques and materials. I would honestly say that “I know boats”. Having said that Scott made a number of observations that I would not have otherwise been aware of, and in the case of the first survey, very significant issues and potential costs. After the purchase of my Beneteau, he has twice come to my aid with after service help and advice and done so willingly. Throughout the process Scott has had a genuine interest in making sure that my yacht was seaworthy and meets all legal requirements. I would highly recommend Aquamarine Services.

I engaged Scott from Aquamarine Services to survey a Riviera M400, a very detailed guy who knows his boats. I was so impressed with his ability to work with the vendor and myself that I engaged his services to manage all items flagged on his survey report for repairs from start to finish including pick-up and delivery so when I reutrned, my family and I were ready to go boating. Finally Scott prepared a maintenance plan, spent a full day with us handing over the boat, teaching my partner and I how to use it and most importantly, par it. Hi Scott, Things went really well. The crew had their weather man on speed dial and did a great job forecasting the weather. Boat never missed a beat the entire trip and it was a great opportunity to become familiar with the vessel. Also caught some fish on the way.
