I have engaged Scott on two separate occasions for pre-purchase surveys, initially for a Jeanneau 42 and subsequently for the yacht I now own, a Beneteau first 47.7. On both occasions he has been courteous to all parties involved, professional and meticulous in his observation and uses up to date techniques and equipment including thermal imaging, moisture meters etc. I have previously been involved with boatbuilding companies including seafarer, Haines hunter, Riviera, Lightwave yachts and have experience with a huge variety of techniques and materials. I would honestly say that “I know boats”. Having said that Scott made a number of observations that I would not have otherwise been aware of, and in the case of the first survey, very significant issues and potential costs. After the purchase of my Beneteau, he has twice come to my aid with after service help and advice and done so willingly.
